Preview of the next Official Video Game & Pinball Book of World Records

    When I was at the annual Funspot tournament in 2004, Walter Day was kind enough to give me a draft page from his upcoming (and long-awaited !) second edition of the Official Video Game & Pinball Book of World Records.  I was quite excited to see some of the great ideas he has implemented in this edition, versus the original.  As good as that version was, and as handy a reference as it is to gamers, the new one promises to be a nice improvement, both in looks, and in the information it provides.

    As you can see from the below scans, I provide a look at both the book's cover, and also the draft page mentioned above.  Welcome additions to the arcade section, compared to the first edition, are: most all of the games will have a listing of the manufacturer, and the year the game came out; and, there is now an 'Event' category, for the purpose of including information about whether the game was being played as part of a contest, tournament, or other special event.

    Well, I hope that Walter has good success with this edition, just like the previous one.  I'll have a link on this page about how and where to get this new edition, when it comes out.  Until then, you can still get a copy of the first edition here.
